The Hard Truth: Bird Breeding is not the most common of hobbies and over the years the level of interest has declined. Finding yourself a community of people will help foster your passion and is most important for your growth as a breeder. Fellow breeders provide a wealth of knowledge that far surpasses anything you can find in a book.
1. Find yourself a reputable club and become an active member.
2. Develop relationships within the club and find a mentor.
3. Visit peoples bird rooms and invite people into yours.
4. Research shows and attend.
5. Support fellow clubs by advertising, donating, becoming a member etc.
6. Ask questions and be open to constructive criticism.
7. Put yourself out there-whether that be thru social media, website, or just showing up.
